Training Needs of Your AgencySEATEC specializes in tailoring a workshop that meets the specific needs of your agency, hospital, health district, or other group of health care workers, based on careful needs assessment. There is rarely any charge for training, except for the cost of any meals or refreshments, which cannot be purchased with SEATEC funds. Continuing education credit is not available for these specially-designed workshops. Workshops can be planned for as few as 15 learners and can be provided in these formats:
• Dinner meeting (with pharmaceutical co-sponsorship) • 1-2 hours • Half day • Full day (usually about five hours total training time) • Other formats as negotiated Some popular workshop topics are:
• Prevention counseling with HIV patients • Women and HIV/prevention of perinatal HIV transmission • Rapid test counseling • HIV treatment today • Health care worker safety/post-exposure management • Dual diagnosis: HIV and hepatitis • Dual diagnosis: HIV and mental illness • Dual diagnosis: HIV and substance abuse • Drug-drug interactions • Special populations: men who have sex with men; rural; tec. • Palliative care • Other topics as negotiated To begin a discussion about a tailored training session, call or E-mail
